COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field and cross country teams had 12 student-athletes honored on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District
® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams on Tuesday morning.
The UCCS men's and women's programs each had six student-athletes recognized, with

Krissie Sanders being honored on the women's side.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
A senior business major from Colorado Springs, Colo., Demos earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season after putting together another strong campaign inside the throws ring and the classroom. Demos opened the academic year with a strong indoor season in which he broke his own indoor school record in the shot put (17.27m) while collecting All-RMAC Second Team honors and USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in the event and being selected to the RMAC All-Academic First Team. During the outdoor season, Demos posted a season-best NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 51.59m in the discus throw as he secured USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the event and was listed on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
An RMAC All-Academic First Team honoree after the cross country and outdoor track & field seasons, Pillivant collected CSC Academic All-District accolades for the second straight season after composing another strong all-around campaign as a mathematics major. The standout distance runner opened the academic year with a big showing during the cross country season as she secured Second Team All-RMAC honors with a 21
st place finish at the RMAC Cross Country Championships before claiming USTFCCCA All-South Central Region accolades, finishing 16
th overall at the South Central Region Cross Country Championships with a personal best 6K time of 21:19.8. She continued her momentum into the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships a couple of weeks later as she finished 71
st overall in a time of 21:32.4. Following a light indoor season in which she posted an indoor personal best time of 18:42.11 in the 5,000m, Pillivant primed herself for an impressive outdoor season that saw her record personal best marks in both the 5,000m and 10,000m races. She opened the outdoor season at the Chuck Haering Invitational and dropped a personal best time of 17:31.06 before engineering a huge performance at the RMAC Outdoor Championships as she raced to the individual event title in the 10,000m with a personal best mark of 36:46.75, securing First Team All-RMAC honors in the event.
Sanders joined Demos and Pillivant as a repeat member of the CSC Academic All-District Team as she earned the accolade for the second consecutive season after joining her dominant performance on the track with her excellent efforts in the classroom as a philosophy major. An RMAC All-Academic honoree following both the indoor and outdoor seasons, Sanders opened the year with a huge indoor campaign as she scored 13 points at the conference championship meet, earning First Team All-RMAC honors in the 60m hurdles and Second Team All-RMAC accolades in the 400m with personal best times in both events. Her season-best converted time of 8.52s in the 60m hurdles placed her on the USTFCCCA All-South Central Region team for the event and earned her a spot at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, where she galloped to a 15
th place finish and garnered USTFCCCA Second Team All-America distinction. Sanders quickly regained her momentum as the outdoor season moved forward as she tallied 18 points at the conference championship meet and was a First Team All-RMAC honoree in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, establishing personal best times in both events. A USTFCCCA All-South Central Region honoree in each event, Sanders qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships as the fourth overall seed in the 400m hurdles and wound up securing USTFCCCA Second Team All-America accolades in the event.
One of nine first-time members of the CSC Academic All-District Team, Arvayo picked up the accolade after combining a breakout senior season on the track with his exceptional efforts in the classroom as a business major. An RMAC All-Academic First Team selection for both the indoor and outdoor seasons, Arvayo saved his best performance of the indoor season for the conference championship meet as he won the heptathlon with a season and personal best converted score of 5,209 points, earning First Team All-RMAC and USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in the event. His heptathlon mark also placed him ninth on the NCAA Division II performance list for the event and earned him a qualifying position at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, where he finished 13
th overall with a score of 5,016 points and collected USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors. During the outdoor season, Arvayo finished seventh overall in the decathlon at the conference championship meet before putting together a season and personal best NCAA provisional qualifying performance of 6,538 points in the event in his final collegiate competition at Azusa Pacific University's Franson Last Chance meet.
Breuer notched her first career CSC Academic All-District accolade on the back of a strong performance on the track and in the classroom as a nursing major during her final season wearing the black and gold. A member of the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll following the cross country and indoor season and a selection to the RMAC All-Academic First Team after the outdoor season, Breuer opened the year by competing in four cross country meets in the fall, highlighted by a 94
th place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships with a time of 21:45.7. After winter break, Breuer rolled into the indoor season and posted personal best times of 10:29.45 in the 3,000m at the UCCS Invite and 2:21.47 in the 800m at the New Mexico Team Open. The native of Boerne, Texas, exploded onto the scene during the outdoor season as she earned Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at the RMAC Outdoor Championships before posting a personal best and provisional qualifying time of 10:29.77 in the event at the Franson Last Chance, earning her USTFCCCA All-Region honors and securing her position at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. In her debut at the outdoor national championship meet, Breuer galloped to a 15
th place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase and garnered USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors with a time of 10:40.71.
Cunningham landed CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in his collegiate career after a strong redshirt junior season in the field of competition and in the classroom as a human physiology & nutrition major. An RMAC All-Academic First Team selection following the cross country campaign, Cunningham earned Second Team All-RMAC accolades at the RMAC Cross Country Championships as he finished 25
th overall with an 8K personal best time of 25:19.0. A few weeks later at the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships, he added another personal best to his ledger as he finished 101
st overall with a time of 31:40.2. Cunningham continued his positive trajectory as the calendar flipped into the track & field season as he was recognized as a member of the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll following both the indoor and outdoor seasons and recorded personal best times in the indoor 3,000m (8:39.60), indoor 5,000m (15:19.70), outdoor 5,000m (15:04.97), and outdoor 10,000m (31:27.79).
An RMAC All-Academic First Team honoree following the cross country and outdoor track & field seasons, Impellitteri collected CSC Academic All-District honors the first time in his career coming off an impressive academic year both athletically and academically as a communications major. Impellitteri opened the campaign by securing USTFCCCA All-Region honors during the cross country season as the 21
st overall finisher at the South Central Region Cross Country Championships with a personal best 10K time of 31:07.2. After finishing the cross country season with a 91
st place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, Impellitteri rolled straight into the indoor season and posted a season and personal best time of 4:15.28 in the mile at the Colorado Last Chance Meet. The Hebron, Ky., native wrapped the year with a huge showing during the outdoor season as he broke his own school record in the 3,000m steeplechase on three different occasions, earning USTFCCCA Second Team All-America, USTFCCCA All-Region, and First Team All-RMAC accolades in the event.
McInnis secured CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in his collegiate career after pairing an impressive outdoor season with his exceptional efforts in the classroom as a digital media major. After redshirting the indoor season, McInnis put together a monster outdoor campaign in which he continued his dominance at the conference level and made his first appearance on the national stage. The native of Denver, Colo. tallied 16 points at the RMAC Outdoor Championships as the individual champion in the triple jump, fourth-place finisher in the long jump, and eighth-place finisher in the high jump as he secured First Team All-RMAC honors in the triple jump and Second Team All-RMAC accolades in the long jump. With his leap of 15.24m in the triple jump at the outdoor conference championship meet, McInnis secured USTFCCCA All-Region accolades and earned qualification for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he finished 10
th overall in the event and garnered USTFCCCA Second Team All-America distinction.
Another first-time member of the CSC Academic All-District Team, Montoya picked up the accolade with the help of her strong performances on the course, the track and in the classroom as an exercise science major. Selected to the RMAC All-Academic First Team following the indoor season and named to the Honor Roll after the cross country and outdoor seasons, Montoya opened the year by posting a pair of personal best marks during the cross country season as she posted a 5K PR of 17:38.5 at the UCCS Rust Buster and a 6K PR of 21:57.9 at the Lucian Rosa Invitational. The native of Los Alamos, N.M. put together a breakout performance during the indoor season as she scored nine points at the RMAC Indoor Championships while securing Second Team All-RMAC honors in both the mile and 3,000m. With her converted time of 4:50.57 in the mile, Montoya earned one of the final qualifying positions for the NCAA DII Indoor Championships and went on to finish 16
th overall, earning USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors in the event. Montoya finished her academic year by competing in four meets during the outdoor season and posting outdoor personal bests in both the 1500m (4:40.36) and the 5,000m (17:14.80).
A second-year member of the UCCS track & field program, Peterson earned CSC Academic All-District accolades for the first time in her collegiate career after parlaying her standout abilities at the pole vault runway with her exceptional work in the classroom as a biology major. A member of the RMAC All-Academic First Team following both the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons, Peterson started her senior season with a huge indoor season in which she was the individual event champion in the pole vault at the RMAC Indoor Championships with a personal best bar clearance of 3.92m. In addition to earning her First Team All-RMAC and USTFCCCA All-South Central Region honors, Peterson's mark of 3.92m qualified her for the NCAA DII Indoor Championships for the first time in her career at UCCS. Just one week after competing at the indoor national championship meet, Peterson kicked off the outdoor season with an NCAA provisional qualifying clearance of 3.79m at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational and went on to defend her indoor pole vault title at the RMAC Outdoor Championships in late April as the gold medalist in the event with a mark of 3.82m, which once again secured her First Team All-RMAC and USTFCCCA All-South Central Region accolades in the event.
Roberts collected CSC Academic All-District accolades for the first time in his collegiate career coming off an incredible senior season in which he established himself as one of the most accomplished throwers in the conference and earned a pair of RMAC All-Academic First Team nods as a business major. A native of Arvada, Colo., Roberts kicked off the academic year with a standout indoor season as he shattered the indoor program record in the men's weight throw with a season-best toss of 20.39m and earned First Team All-RMAC accolades as the runner-up in the event at the RMAC Indoor Championships. A USTFCCCA All-South Central Region honoree and the top regional performer in the weight throw, Roberts was selected to compete in the event at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships and went on to finish 12
th overall, earning USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors. Roberts had no trouble carrying him momentum into the outdoor season as he etched his name into the record book as the program leader in the outdoor hammer throw with a mark of 63.59m and contributed 16 points at the RMAC Outdoor Championships, winning the hammer throw with a mark of 62.84m and third overall in the discus throw with a season and personal best toss of 49.46m. As a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree and the top regional performer in the hammer throw, Roberts earned the opportunity to compete in the event at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he finished 11
th overall and collected another USTFCCCA Second Team All-America nod.
An RMAC All-Academic First Team selection following the cross country season, Ruszkiewicz registered CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in her collegiate career after putting together a solid academic year for the cross country and track teams and in the classroom as a geography & environmental studies major. Ruszkiewicz wasted little time making a splash during the fall cross country season as she opened the year with a 5K personal best time of 18:09.2 at the 18
th Annual UCCS Rust Buster. The Middleton, Wis. native was a catalyst for the Mountain Lions throughout the team's postseason races as she earned All-RMAC Second Team honors with a 15
th place finish at the RMAC Cross Country Championships and USTFCCCA All-Region accolades with a 22
nd place finish at the South Central Region Cross Country Championships before claiming 44
th place at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships with a 6K personal best time of 21:09.5. Following a light indoor season in which she competed in the 5,000m race at two meets with a season-best time of 18:39.05, Ruszkiewicz put together an impressive outdoor campaign as she clocked a personal best time of 17:38.99 at the Chuck Haering Invitational and notched a personal best mark of 4:41.99 in the 1500m for an eighth-place finish in the event at the RMAC Outdoor Championships.
First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 14 (men) and July 15 (women) at 10 a.m. (MT) each day.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
