The University of Colorado Colorado Springs Athletic Department wants all fans to have a safe and enjoyable experience at all of our home events. The following policies and regulations are designed to be practical, functional, and to allow for the safety of our fans, student-athletes and event staff. Our objective is to provide the best possible service and gameday experience for all fans and guests of the Mountain Lions.
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports & entertainment experience. UCCS recognizes intercollegiate athletics as an important part of the student and alumni experience. We as fans should credit student-athletes for their commitment to academic and athletic excellence and their efforts to compete within the rules of each sport. We also promote the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference by upholding high standards of scholarship, competitive performance and spectator behavior.
UCCS FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
UCCS welcomes you as our guest, and you as fans have a right to expect an environment where:
- Student-athletes, coaches, and team personnel will respect and appreciate each and every fan.
- Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all stadium and team personnel.
- Guests will enjoy the experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
- Intervention with an impaired and intoxicated guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
- Guests will not engage in fighting, throwing of objects or attempting to enter the playing or administrative areas, and those who engage in any of these actions will immediately be ejected from the game.
- Guests will comply with requests from facility staff regarding operations and emergency response procedures.
The facility staff has been trained to intervene where necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met. Guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard or guest services staff member. Guests who choose not to adhere to these provisions will be subject to immediate ejection without refund and may also be in violation of State Statutes or Municipal Ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution. UCCS thanks you for adhering to the provisions of the Fan Code of Conduct.
RMAC SPORTSMANSHIP CODE
The NCAA, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and its institutions value respect and are committed to elevating good sportsmanship. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and game officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racist, homophobic, or sexist comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches, team representatives, or anyone in attendance will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. We encourage you to cheer for your favorite team during today's competition. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe, positive, and inclusive game environment for everyone.
ALCOHOL
Alcohol is only allowed in designated areas at UCCS athletic events, with proper permitting and scheduling. The consumption of alcohol is limited to the scope of those areas. Alcohol brought in from the outside is not permitted. Individuals in possession of alcoholic beverages will be removed from the facility. Inebriated individuals will be denied admission to the facility. Such ejections are not grounds for refunds.
EMERGENCY NUMBER - 911
Members of the UCCS Police Department are either on site or on call for each home athletic event and will respond immediately in an emergency situation. In the case of a medial emergency, you can call 911 or find the nearest staff member to assist. If you notice inappropriate behavior, contact an event staff member or UCCS Police Officer.
LOST AND FOUND
All items found during and after the games will be held at University Center Information Desk. The desk is open Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m., during the school year. Hours vary during summer and break periods.
PERMITTED ITEMS
- Bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
- Medically necessary items
- Water in approved factory-sealed plastic containers; 51 oz. / 1.5 liters or smaller (one per ticket holder)
- Empty non-disposable water bottles; 51 oz. / 1.5 liters or smaller (one per ticket holder)
- Seat cushions and chair backs
- Small personal cameras
- Binoculars
- Service Animals
- Blankets
PROHIBITED ITEMS
UCCS complies with all TSA and Homeland Security prohibited items lists. In addition, prohibited items include:
- Bags or containers larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- Hard & Soft sided coolers of any size or style
- Firearms or weapons of any type; including handguns carried in accordance with the Colorado Conceal & Carry Act
- Selfie/GoPro Sticks, flags on poles, other types of sticks, poles or similar objects that can be used as a weapon
- Fireworks, Drones or Laser pointers
- Non-factory sealed beverages or filled liquid containers including all thermoses
- Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and marijuana (medical and recreational)
- Glass or metal bottles or cans
- Artificial noise makers such as whistles, air horns, thunder sticks or any other item used to make artificial noise
- Any unapproved signs or banners
- Professional grade video or camera equipment (e.g. telephoto lenses), tripods, or monopods.
- Footballs, Frisbees, inflatable balls
- Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards or skates
- Pets / Animals (with the exception of service animals)
- Any other item(s) deemed dangerous or unacceptable by security.
SMOKING
Smoking is allowed in
designated areas only.
