Women's Indoor Track and Field Season Recap
  • The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's indoor track and field team had a fantastic season in 2023-24 as they finished second at the RMAC Indoor Championships and tied for 22nd in the NCAA DII Indoor Championships.
  • Sixteen different Mountain Lion student-athletes posted national qualifying marks this indoor season for a combination of 17 individual and two relay marks. Click Here for a full breakdown of the team's 2023-24 indoor track & field provisional qualifying marks. 
  • UCCS tallied 119 points at the 2023-24 RMAC Indoor Championships to earn a second-place finish at the meet. The Mountain Lion women recorded ten podium finishes at the conference championship meet, with two student-athletes earning a total of three individual event championships. After the conclusion of the meet, Audrey Bloomquist was named the RMAC Women's Athlete of the Meet as she led all women's student-athletes with a total of 26 points scored. The native of Helena, Mont., earned ten points apiece with her gold medals in the long jump and triple jump while adding six more points with a third-place finish in the 60m dash. 
  • Nine Mountain Lion women qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships with those being Hedlund (Mile, DMR), Fauske (Mile, 3,000m, DMR), Keyanda Bolton (DMR), Ashten Loeks (DMR), Melissa Moreni (60mh), Audrey Bloomquist (Triple Jump, Long Jump), Christine Bailey (Long Jump), Madissyn Moore (Long Jump), and Anna Holland (Weight Throw). At the national championship meet, UCCS finished with eight points total and would end the indoor season tied for 22nd in all of Division II.

  • The UCCS women's track & field team broke six indoor school records during the 2023-24 season:
National Rankings
  • UCCS was ranked inside of the top-15 for seven of the eight weeks of the indoor season. The Mountain Lions highest ranking came on week's three and four when they were selected No. 7 in back-to-back weeks by USTFCCCA. UCCS' lowest ranking came in the final week on March 10th when they tied for No. 22 in the NCAA DII Indoor Championships.
