GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team placed tied for third on Tuesday at Western New Mexico's Mustang Intercollegiate tournament.
The Mountain Lions shot a combined score of 845 (272, 287, 286), falling just four strokes behind Colorado School of Mines who finished second and six strokes behind the winners, Dixie State.
Jack Duguid led UCCS as he lost a playoff to Dixie State's Nicklaus Britt after finishing tied for first with a score of 204 (67, 70, 67).
Colin Prater finished two strokes back, finishing tied for fourth place with a score of 206 (64, 71, 71).
The tournament was the Mountain Lions' final tune-up before the they compete in the RMAC Championships April 22-24 in nearby Chandler, Ariz.
