Haake, Jones Named to All-RMAC Second Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior Brady Haake and redshirt-senior Barrett Jones of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team have earned 2022-23 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golf Second Team accolades, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Jamie Roberts of Colorado State University Pueblo is the 2023 RMAC Men's Golfer of the Year, while Lukas Taggart from Colorado School of Mines is the RMAC Freshman of the Year.  Earning the RMAC Coach of the Year distinction is Mark Hull from Colorado Christian University.
 
The all-conference first and second teams are comprised of 16 individuals eligible to compete in NCAA post-season play as an individual. Selections for all-conference teams are made by a committee comprised of the RMAC Men's Coach Chair, Men's RAC coach representatives, and a representative from the RMAC office after the NCAA Super Regionals.
 
A native of Gilbert, Ariz., Brady Haake was the top Mountain Lion scorer in five tournaments this season and was second overall in scoring average (73.4).  In just the second tournament of the season, Haake carded a career low 208 at the West Texas Ryan Palmer Invite where he also shot the lowest round of his career, tallying a 67 in the second round.   A 2020-21 All-RMAC Second Team selection, he finished with an even par 216 at the RMAC championship tournament, putting him in a tie for 12th place.  In his final tournament as a Mountain Lion, Haake tied for 46th place with a 223 at the NCAA West/South Central Regional.
 
Barrett Jones is collecting his first All-RMAC accolade as a Mountain Lion.  A transfer from University of Northern Colorado, Jones wrapped up his fourth season at UCCS leading the team in scoring average (73.1).  Jones, who finished first for UCCS in two tournaments and second on the team in seven tournaments, recorded a career low 210 on Oct. 3-4 at the WT Ryan Palmer Invite.  He shot a season low round of 68 in his final two competitions.  He started the conference tournament with a 68 in the first round and finished tied for 22nd overall (218), before carding another 68 in his final round at UCCS as part of his 223 (tied-46th) at the NCAA West/South Central Regional.
 
The Mountain Lions closed out the post-season with a third-place finish at the RMAC Championships, and a 14th place finish at the West/South Central Regional.
