CHANDLER, Ariz. – For the second straight year,
Colin Prater was the RMAC Men's Golf Championship individual winner as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs placed fourth overall.
Prater's three-round score of 199 (63, 69, 67) at the Ocotillo Golf Resort put him at -14 under par and four strokes ahead of Colorado School of Mines' George Markham, who finished with a 203 (67, 68, 68).
Jack Duguid finished tied for third with a 208 (68, 71, 69), putting him at -5 under par for UCCS as
Tanner Comes was tied for 14
th with a +1 over par performance (72, 72, 70).
As a team, the Mountain Lions 849 (281, 286, 282) as they wrapped up the tournament 10 strokes back from Mines, who earned the conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional.
UCCS entered the tournament as the South Central region's top-ranked team and will most likely earn an at-large bid to the super regional event, which will be held May 7-9 at the Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas.
