AMARILLO, Texas – For the second straight week the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team place first overall. This time it was at the West/South Central Region Preview, hosted by West Texas A&M at the La Paloma Golf Club.
The No. 15-ranked Mountain Lions were led by
Tanner Comes, who earned medalist honors after shooting a 136 (66, 70) to finish -6 under par.
Teammate
Jack Duguid placed tied for sixth with an Even performance by shooting a 142 (68, 74).
As a team, UCCS shot a two-round score of 574 (282, 292), edging out No. 17-ranked Chico State by one stroke. Holy Names was third as they finished just two strokes back from the Mountain Lions.
The team is back in action next Monday and Tuesday when they travel west to take part in the Lancer Invitational, hosted by California Baptist in Jurupa Valley, Calif.
