UCCS Tied for Team Lead in Second Round Suspended for Darkness

SEASIDE, Calif. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will share the team lead after action was suspended late in the second round of the Otter Fall Invitational tonight at Black Horse Golf Course. The Mountain Lions are 5-over with golfers through 15-to-17 holes in the round as darkness set in.

Tanner Comes and Colin Prater are both tied for No. 10 at 1-over par. Prater is through 35 total holes with two eagles and seven birdies. Comes is through 34 holes and went 1-under in the first round and is 2-over through 16 holes in the second round.

Ji Jang is one stroke behind his teammates at 2-over through 34 holes. He shot a 1-under 71 in the first round with five birdies and added three more birdies in 16 holes in the second round. Peter Johns tied for the UCCS lead in the first round with a 2-under 70 and is 6-over through 15 holes in the second round. Jack Duguid opened with a 2-over 74 in the second round is three strokes over par through 16 holes in the second round.
 
The Mountain Lions are tied with UC San Diego with limited scores from one Triton golfer. The two teams are one stroke ahead of national top-15 ranked teams Chico State and host California State-Monterey Bay. 

Action will resume at 9 a.m., MDT, and teams will continue with the same pairings for the final round.
