UCCS, Prater Wins First RMAC Event

THORNTON, Colo. – Colin Prater won his first tournament in more than a year and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team won by a 6-stroke margin at the first RMAC event of the season today at the Todd Creek Golf Club. The Mountain Lions placed all of their golfers in the top 20 of the overall results.

Prater recorded his second eagle of the tournament on hole 4 to offset a bogey on hole 3, and then moved to 2-under-par with a birdie on hole 8. He finished the back nine with an even score with two birdies on his last three holes to claim a one-stroke win against CSU-Pueblo's Neil Tillman. Today marked Prater's first collegiate tournament since the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships, where he finished No. 45.

Zach Berhost, Kyle Southard and Blake Young each turned in scoreboards of 76 to provide a UCCS team score of 298.
