COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (8-2 / 4-2 RMAC) begins the final homestretch of the season tonight when the Mountain Lions host Colorado Christian (2-8 / 0-6 RMAC) at 7:30 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium.

The game will be part of homecoming week and will follow the men's soccer game. The men's game will be preceded by the annual march from the residence halls to Mountain Lion Stadium which starts at 4 p.m. at the Housing Quad.

Tonight is the first of a four-game homestand for the Mountain Lions to close out the regular season home schedule. UCCS is one win away from breaking the program season win record and one shutout away from tying for the most in a single season.

The Mountain Lions are coming off a win over Colorado State-Pueblo in the first game of the Steel and Silver rivalry series. The Mountain Lions are ranked at No. 8 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's South Central Region poll.

Colorado Christian is coming off of a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Fort Lewis. The Cougars are led on offense by Ashley Paul, who has scored three goals. Their defense is led by two goalkeepers, Caitlyn Moses and Kirsten Turner.

The UCCS offense ranks among the national leaders with Hannah Levett leading the charge with five goals. She needs one more to tie Agnes Arnadottir's mark from last season for third in all-time season records and two to tie Julia Saenz's seven goals from 2010. Kelly Schroeder, a two-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week, has five shutouts this season and needs one more to tie for No. 10 in conference career records.
