Patrick Skakel moved into a tie for No. 45 after a 78 in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships today at Rock Barn Golf and Spa. He has a two-round score of 147 and is six strokes out of the top 10 with one round left.
Skakel opened with a double-bogey on hole 10 and finished with a 5-over 41 after his first nine holes. He was one stroke off of his performance yesterday's on holes one through nine with a 37 to turn in a 78 in today's round.Â
Skakel is in a five-way tie at 5-over par through the first 36 holes. He is within five strokes of par through the first two rounds of a tournament for the sixth time this season.
Skakel will tee off in the final round at 6:47 a.m., MDT from hole 10. He will be paired with Sonoma State's Nicolas Daniels and West Texas A&M's Logan Leggett.
