GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Dustin Dalzell recorded his second-best score of the season with a team-leading 73 in today's round as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs finished fifth at the 2015 RMAC Championships at the Golf Club of Estrella. Patrick Skakel finished fourth overall to lead the Mountain Lions with a tournament score of 218.

Dalzell improved his score by three strokes in each of the rounds of the tournament to reach his 73 today. It was his best round since a 70 in the third round of the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate last September. Dalzell finished in a tie for No. 17 overall with a 228 for 12-overall par.

Skakel finished one stroke off of the tournament lead with a 77 in today's round. It was his first top-five finish since the season-opener last September. Zach Tripp matched Skakel's performance today with his best score of the tournament and finished No. 36 overall with a 240.

Stephen Cook rounded out the team score today with a 78 and finished No. 15 with a tournament score of 227. It was his fourth straight top-15 finish and the seventh of the season. UCCS assembled a team score of 305 today and tied for the third-best team score of the day. 

The Mountain Lions will likely compete at the NCAA Division II West / South Central Region Championships in two weeks in Vallejo, Calif., as the third-ranked team in the latest regional ranking. The NCAA will announce the 10 qualifying teams from the South Central Region at 2 p.m., MDT, on Friday.
