COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the 2026 Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Teams Tuesday afternoon, with 12 University of Colorado Colorado Springs student-athletes earning conference academic honors. Seniors
Kendra Knutson and
Sydnee-Anne Moeller highlighted the group after being voted to the RMAC All-Academic First Team.
Ten additional Mountain Lions earned RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll recognition:
Jessie Ackerman,
Layla Alm,
Brielle Fannin,
Delaney Gnos,
Rylie Maready,
Peyton Ross,
Allie Schell,
Ashley Weiss,
Jade Wilson and
Talya Wilson.
Brigit Goetsch of Regis University was named the 2026 RMAC Women's Lacrosse Academic Player of the Year. Each institution's athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes for First Team Academic All-RMAC consideration. Nominees must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet additional academic and participation criteria. The conference's athletic communications directors then vote to determine the First Team and the Academic Player of the Year, with voters not permitted to select their own student-athletes.
The RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition.
Knutson, a senior defender from Savage, Minn., capped off another standout season for the Mountain Lions in 2026. The business major started all 16 games, becoming one of just four UCCS players to start every contest this season. She totaled 27 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers while anchoring the Mountain Lion defense. In addition to her RMAC All-Academic First Team honor, Knutson earned All-RMAC Second Team recognition this season. Her decorated career also includes 2025 RMAC All-Academic First Team honors, 2025 RMAC Honorable Mention accolades, 2024 RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll recognition, 2024 All-RMAC Second Team honors, and 2023 All-RMAC First Team recognition.
Moeller, a senior attacker from Los Angeles, Calif., appeared in all 16 games this season while making two starts. The communications major recorded eight goals and four assists, placing 15 of her 19 shots on goal, while also adding two player-up goals. Named the 2025-26 UCCS Female Student-Athlete of the Year, she posted a season-high two goals and one assist in UCCS' 20-9 home victory over Westminster. Off the field, Moeller earned RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll recognition twice during her career.
The Mountain Lions finished the 2026 season owning a 10-6 overall record, and an 8-2 mark in league games. With a 12-11 win at Regis on April 18, UCCS claimed its first ever win over the Rangers and its first ever RMAC championship title, sharing the crown with Regis.
