COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse head coach
Brice Queener has announced Hannah Mill as the first full-time assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program.
"We are so excited to elevate Hannah Mill to our full-time assistant coach position," commented Queener. "Hannah has done an exemplary job working with our team for the past two seasons and has been an integral part in our programs rise and first ever RMAC regular season championship this year. I'm thrilled that the UCCS athletic administration has made this position a reality for our coaching staff and our student-athletes and can't wait for the 2027 season of Mountain Lion Lacrosse!"
A former Mountain Lion standout, Mill has served as an assistant coach for UCCS since August 2024 and has played an instrumental role in the program's continued success on and off the field.
"I'm beyond excited for the future of Mountain Lion lacrosse and the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the program," said Mill. "We have a strong vision for where we're headed and an incredible opportunity to build something special! I can't wait to get back to work with our players and continue raising the standard as we push the program forward."
During her time on staff, Mill has helped the development of the team's draw unit and goalkeepers, helping improve the team's draw control percentage from 49.01 percent to 56.06 percent while also contributing to significant improvements in goalkeeper save percentage and goals-against average. She has played a key role in practice planning, scouting, film analysis, recruiting efforts, and game-day operations.
Before returning to Colorado Springs, Mill served as Assistant Coach and Director of Operations at Xavier University and worked as Director of Operations and Coach with Team 180 Lacrosse. Her coaching experience spans player development, offensive systems, recruiting, travel coordination, and program administration.
Mill began her collegiate career at Stetson University, where she competed from 2018-20 before transferring to UCCS and redshirting the 2021 season. A team captain in 2022, Mill earned IWLCA All-America Honorable Mention honors, All-RMAC First Team recognition, and a spot on the RMAC All-Tournament Team. After graduating from UCCS, she transferred to Regis University to complete her playing career and pursue a master's degree. During her final collegiate season, Mill led the RMAC in goals per game, points per game, and shots per game.
Mill earned her bachelor's degree in finance from UCCS in 2022 before completing a master's degree in organizational leadership from Regis University in 2024.
The Mountain Lions enter the 2027 season following the most successful campaign in program history, highlighted by the program's first RMAC regular-season championship, inaugural road wins over Regis University and Colorado Mesa University, and a school-record 10 victories.
