COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs freshman attacker Ella Mills (Lakeville, Minn.) has added another major accolade to her freshman campaign, earning 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team honors, announced Wednesday afternoon by the organization.

Mills was also named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and earned All-RMAC First Team recognition after emerging as one of the conference's top offensive threats throughout the season. She also collected RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on March 23.

Starting 14 of 16 games, Mills led the team in goals (46), points (51), shots (83), shots on goal (69) and game-winning goals (3). Her scoring production ranked among the best in the conference, finishing second in the RMAC in goals per game (2.9) and shots on goal per game (4.3). She also ranked third in shots per game (5.2) and fourth overall in total goals scored (46).

The Mountain Lions claimed the programs first ever RMAC championship title, sharing the crown with Regis University.  UCCS defeated Regis, 12-11, April 18 for the first time in program history to claim a share of the conference title.  The Mountain Lions closed out the season with a 10-6 record and an 8-2 mark in league games.
