INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA revealed the selected participant field for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday afternoon, with a total of 11 student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track & field teams being selected to compete across seven individual entries and one relay entry at the national meet on March 13-14 in Virginia Beach, Va.
The UCCS men's track & field team qualified six student-athletes to compete across two individual entries and one relay entry:
- For the first time in indoor program history, the Mountain Lions' 4x400m relay team qualified for the indoor national championship meet with the squad's converted time of 3:11.50 that was posted by senior Sebastien Jean, freshman Hayden Fox, freshman Joshua Gross, and redshirt junior Andrew Muncy on Feb. 6 at the Colorado Classic ranking as the 11th-fastest time in the field. Freshman sprinter Revano Plummer will also travel with the team to Virginia Beach as a designated alternate and the final lineup for the relay will be determined next week. The men's 4x400m relay final will take place on Saturday, March 14 at 4:45 p.m. (MT).
- Senior Michael Roberts is set to make his first career appearance at the indoor national championship meet as the No. 15 seed in the men's weight throw with his season-best toss of 20.39m. Roberts, who becomes just the second male student-athlete in program history to earn indoor national qualification in the weight throw, will compete at 12 p.m. (MT) on Friday, March 13.
- Coming off a huge performance at last weekend's RMAC Indoor Championships, senior Dillon Arvayo is set to make his NCAA nationals debut in the men's heptathlon as the ninth-seeded student-athlete in the field with his season-best converted mark of 5,209 points. Arvayo joins former teammate and two-time indoor national qualifier Thorben Hast as just the second student-athlete in men's program history to qualify for nationals in the indoor heptathlon. The Tucson, Ariz. native will compete in the first four events of the heptathlon beginning at 8 a.m. (MT) on Friday, March 13 before completing the final three events starting at 9 a.m. (MT) on Saturday, March 14.
The Mountain Lion women's team will have five student-athletes competing at the outdoor national meet across a total of five individual entries.

Montoya will open the competition in the preliminary round of the event at 2:05 p.m. (MT) on Friday, March 13 with the top three finishers in each of the two heats along with the next three fastest times advancing to the final on Saturday, March 14 at 2:50 p.m. (MT)

Nikanorov will toe the start line for her event at 4:40 p.m. (MT) on Friday, March 13.
- After competing as the 400m leg of the Mountain Lions' national qualifying distance medley relay team at last season's indoor national championship meet, junior Krissie Sanders will compete individually at indoor nationals for the first time this year as she enters the women's 60m hurdles competition tied for the 14th-fastest time in the field at 8.52c. The preliminary round of the event will start at 1 p.m. (MT) on Friday, March 13 with the top two finishers in each of the three heats along with the next two fastest times advancing to the event final on Saturday, March 14 at 1:55 p.m. (MT).
- Senior Brooke Peterson is set to make her first indoor nationals appearance at the NCAA level as she earned qualification in the women's pole vault as the No. 17 seed in the field with her season-best mark of 3.92m that she accomplished at the RMAC Indoor Championships last weekend. Peterson, who becomes the first women's pole vaulter to qualify for the indoor national championship meet since the 2010-11 indoor season, will hit the runway at 2 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, March 14.
- Senior Savannah Jorgens joins Anna Holland (2023-24) as just the second student-athlete in UCCS women's program history to qualify for the indoor national championship meet in the women's weight throw and will enter the competition as the eighth-seeded thrower in the field with her season-best mark of 19.30m.
