COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -  The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the winners of the conference's weekly awards for week eight of the 2026 baseball season, with Gerrit Erickson of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions earning his second Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
 
Erickson took the mound for the fourth and final game of the weekend series against Adams State and threw a dominant six inning performance to give his fourth win of the year. Erickson allowed just three hits, two walks and one hit batsman for a six-baserunner total. No Grizzlies scored during Erickson's time on the mound on Sunday, as the redshirt senior fanned two batters, and forced ten groundouts. Erickson improved to a 7.75 ERA, which is eighth best in the league, as he now sits tied for the most wins of any pitcher in the conference this season with four.
 
Erickson and the Mountain Lions return to action at home this weekend as they welcome in the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys to Mountain Lion Park, with game one beginning with a 3 p.m. first pitch.
