- Records: UCCS (7-7, 0-0 RMAC) | CHICO (9-6, 0-0 CCAA)
- Facility | Location: Nettleton Stadium | Chico, Calif.

HOW IT HAPPENED | GAME ONE
- The Mountain Lions would strike first in day two of action in the Golden State, as they strung together a Chico error, Nolan Oliver base hit, and Trevor Dale single to bring in the first run of game three, taking a 1-0 lead.
- The lead, however, wouldn't last for UCCS, as the Wildcats scored four in the bottom of the first, doing so off two singles, a double and a triple. A UCCS fielding error wouldn't help the Mountain Lions, as they faced a 4-1 deficit after six outs.
- The Mountain Lions wouldn't have an answer for the Wildcats in game three, as the hosts went on to score four in the second, one in the fourth and sixth, with two more added in the seventh.
- UCCS threatened for runs throughout game three, but could never get a timely hit to do damage, as Chico State led the way from start to finish to take game three by a 12-1 final score.
GAME STATISTICS | GAME ONE
- Nolan Oliver was the only Mountain Lion with a multi-hit game, going 2-5.
- Strikeouts were an issue for UCCS at the dish, with ten UCCS batters going down on strikes.
- Ryder Mancuso (0-3) will continue to search for his first win. Thomas Meyer (1-2) finds his first victory for the Wildcats.
HOW IT HAPPENED | GAME TWO
- In the finale it was the Wildcats who found pay dirt first, doing so in the second inning. A pair of one out singles would get the wheels turning, with a wild pitch and ground out getting the run home. UCCS responded with the ground out to end the inning, but Chico took the 1-0 lead heading into the third inning.
- UCCS would respond with a pair of their own two innings later. A Nolan Oliver single would be negated by a Trevor Dale fielder's choice a batter later. Liam Whalen found his way on by way of a five pitch walk, setting up Tyler Genrich to double both runs home, giving UCCS the 2-1 lead after four and a half innings.
- After UCCS went in order in the fifth, Chico would pull back to even with a lead off double turning into the tying run on a single two batters later. UCCS would prevent further harm, with the score tied at 3 headed to the sixth.
- UCCS reclaimed the lead in the sixth, with Tyler Genrich again coming through for the black and gold. Bryce Peterson led off the inning with a single, joined by Trevor Dale on an intentional walk two batters later. A Liam Whalen foul out would move Peterson to third, setting up Genrich for the two out RBI single to put UCCS in front 3-2.
- Chico State would again come up big in the final scheduled inning, as they took advantage of several hit by pitches, to tie the game at three with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. A Bryce Peterson error loaded the bases, raising the blood pressure of Mountain Lion fans, but Joshua Zotto was able to force a fly out to right and end the threat. For the second game of the series, the Mountain Lions and Wildcats headed for extra frames.
- Both teams would go quiet until the bottom of the tenth, when a hit by pitch and two singles would won it for Chico State, as they complete the sweep of the Mountain Lions with the 4-3 game four win in ten.
