Dale Earns Second Player of the Week Nod of the Season

2/17/2026 2:00:00 PM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced Trevor Dale was named Player of the Week for the second time of the young season on Tuesday.

Trevor Dale earned his first career Player of the Week highlight after powering the Mountain Lions offense in their opening series against Fort Hays State, and has shown no signs of slowing in the two series since as he picks up his second this week. In the four game series against the Jamestown Jimmies, Dale stood out once again, driving in seven runs while also scoring seven runs himself. His 2.365 OPS on the weekend was leagues ahead of the conference, earning him seven walks with two coming intentionally from the opposing head coach. The highlight of the weekend for the Mountain Lion third baseman came in the sixth inning of Saturday's nightcap when Dale launched a grand slam to left to cut a five run lead to just one, which the Mountain Lions were able to tie at the end of the inning. Dale currently sits at nine home runs through ten games, almost halfway to the single season record of 20 just three series into the season.

Trevor Dale and the Mountain Lions head west for their first road trip of the season in California this weekend. Chico State awaits UCCS in a four game series set to begin on Friday. For full series information and coverage, visit GoMountainLions.com.
