Moore Allen, White Tabbed to 2024 RMAC All-Tournament Team

DENVER, Colo. – Following the conclusion of the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship tournament at Regis University Saturday night, University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball student-athletes Amyah Moore Allen and Maison White were named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team.

The No. 4 seed Mountain Lions advanced to the RMAC Championship game after defeating No. 5 seed Colorado School of Mines at home in quarterfinal round, 71-65, followed by a 58-54 win over No. 8 seed Colorado State University Pueblo Friday night at Regis.  Friday's win moved UCCS to the championship game where the Mountain Lions took on No. 2 seed Regis University for the third time this season.  The Rangers snapped the Mountain Lions 12-game winning streak with a 76-64 win on Saturday in the championship game.

Redshirt-junior guard Amyah Moore Allen scored at least 12 points in each of last week's tournament games, finishing the week with 46 points (15.3 per game).  A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Moore Allen added 12 rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and four steals across the three games.  She notched 17 points, two blocks, two rebounds and a steal against Mines in the quarterfinal game.  In a four-point neutral site win against the Pack, Moore Allen accounted for 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and blocked two shots.  In Saturday's championship game, the All-RMAC First Teamer collected 12 points, three assists and two rebounds.

In three playoff games last week, Maison White averaged a double-double behind 13.3 points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting the ball at a 50 percent rate (17-of-34).  After being held to five points against the Orediggers on Tuesday, White netted 19 points and hit 7-of-13 from the floor against CSU Pueblo Friday.  In the championship game, the junior forward from Grantsville, Utah tallied 16 points, two blocks, two assists and 16 rebounds.

The Mountain Lions, who have been ranked No. 9 in the last two NCAA South Central Regional rankings, will await tonight's selection show when the 64-team NCAA Division II Women's Basketball bracket will be announced.  The bracket will be announced at 8:30 p.m. tonight on www.ncaa.com.
