SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team tie the Rattlers in south Texas, moving to 2-2-2 as they wrap up the non-conference schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UCCS' offense got started right away for the second straight game, with sophomore Emily Aguilar receiving a feed from Jessica Rockwell to get the Mountain Lions on the board just four minutes into the contest.
- The first half was deadlocked for the remainder of the period as both teams finished the first 45 with four shots each, and one shot landing on frame for both teams. Isabella Whitmore's save on the only SMU shot on goal preserved the lead for the Mountain Lions who headed into the locker room with the lead.
- The action picked up in the second half as the teams traded chances up and down the pitch, combining for 21 shot attempts down the stretch. SMU claimed seven more shots on goal in the second half, with UCCS only landing three more shots on frame.
- The Rattlers were able to pull even in the 78th minute, as a passing play ended with senior forward Alexis Truitt firing a shot out of Whitmore's reach into the top left corner of the goal.
- Both UCCS and SMU traded promising chances in the closing minutes, including a near goal from the Rattlers at the buzzer, but the match would end in a 1-1 draw.
