CANYON, Texas – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field teams closed out the third and final day of the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi on Saturday with another big performance as they combined to break four more school records and post nine NCAA qualifying marks. UCCS also had a group of distance runners competing at the Kit Mayer Invite in Golden, Colo., and went on to add one more NCAA provisional mark at the CSM Stermole Track & Field Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED | JO MEAKER CLASSIC & MULTI
- The first of four school records on the day came in the men's 4x100m relay race, with Justice Mendoza, Kymani Sterling, Michael Nichols, and Brian Mosley Jr. teaming up to clock a raw time of 40.19s for a first-place finish in the race. Their altitude-converted time of 40.31s registers as an improvement on their existing NCAA provisional mark and currently ranks among the top-ten in the nation for the event. The women's 4x100m relay team of Audrey Bloomquist, Keyanda Bolton, Brittany Fuchs, and Victoria Farinas also posted a strong mark as they notched a second-place finish and came up just shy of their season best provisional mark with an altitude-converted time of 45.97s.
- Having already contributed to the men's 4x100m school record, Mendoza went on to clock his own school record in the open 100m dash as he clocked a personal best raw time of 10.34s to finish sixth overall in the race. Mosley Jr. also notched a personal best mark in the 100m as he raced to a raw time of 10.45s for a 12th place finish overall. With respective altitude-converted times of 10.37s and 10.48s, Mendoza and Mosley Jr. also made their way onto the NCAA provisional qualifying list for the event.
- Mendoza continued his record-breaking day in the men's 200m dash, racing to a personal best and school record raw time of 20.86s to finish sixth overall in the race. Mendoza's altitude-converted time of 20.93s registers as an NCAA qualifying time and has him ranked inside the top-ten in the nation for the event at the close of the weekend. Mosley Jr. and Sterling also finished among the top-20 in the 47-person field, with Sterling crossing the line 15th at 21.25s and Mosley Jr. finishing 18th at 21.43s.
- Junior Melissa Moreni recorded the fourth and final school record of the afternoon in the women's 100m hurdles, where she clocked a personal best raw time of 13.68s to finish in second place overall. Her altitude-converted national qualifying mark of 13.72s currently ranks fourth overall in the nation among Division II competition.
- Bloomquist was the top UCCS finisher in the women's 100m dash with a personal best raw time of 11.84s to claim a ninth-place finish in the race while three additional Mountain Lions claimed top-15 finishes in the 36-person field, including Fuchs (10th – 11.86s), Bolton (12th – 11.98s), and Farinas (13th – 12.00s).
- Bolton would come back later in the day to lead the Mountain Lions in the women's 200m dash, tallying an NCAA qualifying time of 24.26s for a ninth-place finish in the 45-person field. Fuchs also notched a strong finish in the race, taking 12th place overall with a raw time of 24.46s.
- The Mountain Lions notched a pair of NCAA qualifying marks in the men's and women's long jump as Richard Safoh posted an improvement on his existing NCAA qualifying mark with a third-place mark of 7.38m in the men's competition and Bloomquist matched her personal best provisional mark with a jump of 5.88m in the women's competition.
- In the men's triple jump, Peyton Turnage registered a second-place finish while coming up just shy of a provisional mark at 14.66m while Peterson Bohannon finished fifth with a personal best mark of 13.78m. On the women's side, Christine Bailey put forth the best outdoor jump of her career as she claimed a fifth-place finish with a mark of 11.62m.
- Sophomore Amber Davis had a personal best performance in the women's 400m dash as she raced to a sixth-place finish with a time of 56.22s. Alyssa Lopez crossed the line three spots behind Davis in ninth place with a time of 58.16s. In the men's 400m dash, it was Ryan O'Neal that was the top finisher for UCCS as he clocked a 12th place time of 48.91s, while freshman Sebastien Jean was directly behind him in 13th place at 49.11s.
- Freshman Skylar Hawk shaved more than two seconds off her previous PR in the women's 400m hurdles, earning a fourth-place finish at a time of 1:05.20.
- Redshirt junior Kamryn Bohlken was the top UCCS finisher in the women's javelin throw as she recorded a mark of 38.26m to come up just shy of her personal best. Junior Caroline Walters also finished inside the top-five with a mark of 36.30m, while freshman Nicole Castillio notched a sixth-place finish with a personal best throw of 34.35m.
- UCCS had a pair of student-athletes competing in the men's javelin throw, with redshirt junior Seth Richmond taking fourth place with a toss of 55.41m and redshirt junior Daniel Furcron finishing seventh at 46.08m.
- At the women's discus throw, Cassielynn Bonner paced the Mountain Lions with a 12th place finish and a mark of 35.80m. Freshman Michael Roberts led the way on the men's side of the discus as he also posted a 12th place finish with a personal best throw of 42.86m.
- Competing in a field of 27 throwers in the women's shot put, freshman Toryn Turpin recorded an 11th place finish with a mark of 12.13m while fellow freshman Savannah Jorgens finished 13th at 11.58m. On the men's side, freshman Kyle Demos was the top finisher for UCCS with a 14th place finish at 13.42m and freshman Michael Roberts notched a personal best mark of 11.70m for a 15th place finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED | KIT MAYER INVITE
- Redshirt freshman Jagger Zlotoff provided the highlight of the meet for the Mountain Lions as he raced to a first-place finish in the men's 1,500m with an improved national qualifying time of 3:46.15. His altitude-converted time currently ranks inside the top-ten in the nation for the event. Redshirt sophomore Justin Banta also notched a top-ten finish in the race with a ninth-place finish at 4:05.72.
- Redshirt sophomore Mason Ingallinera competed in the first 5,000m of her collegiate career and came away with an event win after racing to a first-place time of 18:28.48. Teammate Kelsey Graff was not far behind, finishing the race in third place with a time of 18:48.42.
- In the men's 5,000m race, redshirt junior Gavin Harden was the first Mountain Lion across the line as he notched a personal best raw time of 15:14.19 for a fifth-place finish overall.
- In the women's 3,000m steeplechase, Brooke Moss and Nadine Almasri claimed the top two spots in the four-person field with Moss crossing the line at 11:52.32 and Almasri finishing the race in 11:55.97. Redshirt freshman Jack Donze was the lone Mountain Lion in action on the men's side and he went on to clock a third-place finish at 10:02.14.
- Freshman Jessica Madrid raced in the first 10,000m of her collegiate career to close the evening, taking fourth place in the competition with a time of 39:13.61.
- Freshman Alex Herman had a busy day on the track as he made his outdoor debuts in the 200m and 400m dashes. He went on to clock a 25th place finish in the 200m with a time of 23.22s and an 11th place finish in the 400m at a time of 50.24s.
- Sophomore Joseph Hamilton was the first UCCS student-athlete across the line in the men's 800m as he posted a near personal best time of 1:56.78 for a fourth-place finish. Redshirt sophomore Adam Maal also came close to his personal best time with a sixth-place mark of 1:59.19. On the women's side, Erika Timbang and Rachel Goodrich claimed the eighth and ninth spots in the 800m race with respective times of 2:20.86 and 2:22.55.
- In the 4x400m relay race, the group of Banta, Hamilton, Herman, and Maal made their way around the track in 3:28.53 for a third-place finish.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Mosley Jr.'s raw 100m time of 10.45s ranks second all-time in program history, only trailing Mendoza's mark of 10.34s that was also established today.
- Bloomquist's raw time of 11.84s in the 100m dash moves her into third place all-time in the women's school record book for the event.
- With her raw time of 24.19s in the women's 200m dash, Bolton ranks third all-time in program history for the event.
- Another update to the women's record book came in the 400m dash, where Davis' time of 56.22s ranks third all-time.
- Bailey's triple jump mark of 11.62m pushes her into fifth-place all-time in the women's outdoor record book for the event.\
- At the close of the weekend, the Mountain Lions now have a total of 22 NCAA qualifying marks, with 12 of them ranking inside the top-ten of their respective events.

- The Mountain Lions will head west next weekend with a small group of student-athletes set to compete at the CSULA Twilight Open and the APU Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13-15.
