ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team closed the regular season with an 11
th place finish at the NCAA West Region Spring Preview after shooting a three-round total 888 (294, 298, 296). The 21-team tournament was hosted by Sonoma State University at Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, Calif.

- Barrett Jones and Brady Haake led the Mountain Lions squad tying for 34th place overall with a six-over par 222. Haake tallied three birdies and 10 pars in the final round. After starting the day on No. 8, Jones shot a one-under par through his first eight holes. Haake chipped in three birdies and 12 pars after shooting a 73 on Tuesday, tying his lowest round of the tournament.
- One stroke and seven slots behind Jones and Haake is James Perry with a seven-over par 223. Perry sank two birdies on each half of the course today.
- Brandon Bervig's 76 on Tuesday brought his three-round total to 225 (+9) behind 10 pars and two birdies today.
- Rounding out the Mountain Lions top five is Travis Bossio who tied for 67th overall after notching a 227 (75, 75, 77).
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- California State University San Marcos broke their tie with Sonoma State and won the 21-team tournament by 10 strokes with an 11-under par 853 (286, 286, 281).
- Matthew Pennington of CSU San Marcos and Jordan Lee of Western Washington University earned co-individual medalist honors with an eight-under par 208.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- UCCS led all 21 teams with 170 pars and added 36 birdies across three rounds.
- Haake's 39 pars are the fourth most recorded in the tournament.
- Bervig averaged a 4.13 (+4) on Par 4 scoring, placing him in the top 20 of all individuals (tied-19th).

- UCCS will return to the links on April 23-25 when they compete in the 54-hole Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship tournament in Boulder City, Nevada.
