BOULDER CITY, Nevada – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team posted a 307 in the third and final round Tuesday afternoon at the University of Missouri St. Louis Las Vegas Desert Classic, held at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder, City, Nevada. The Mountain Lions finished the three-round tournament totaling a 934 (320, 296, 307) in the 20-team tournament.

FROM THE TEE
- Competing on Tuesday without their top scorer from Monday (Barrett Jones), James Perry paced the Mountain Lions with a team best 225, finishing in a tie for 28th place overall. Perry, who shot a 75 in all three rounds, tallied eight birdies in the tournament, three of which came on Tuesday.
- Brady Haake highlighted Tuesday's performance with an eagle on par 5 No. 5 as he shot two-under on the front nine. Haake strung together seven straight holes on the front nine that netted a four-under par. His 77 today brought his tournament total to 231 and a tie for 60th place.
- Brandon Bervig also had a solid performance on the front nine, recording all four of today's birdies on holes 1-5. He finished the day with a one-over par 73 and tied for 77th overall with a 235 marked on his scorecard.
- Rounding out the Mountain Lions' scorers is freshman Jake Chesler who competed in his first career tournament for the Mountain Lions. Chessler tied for 96th overall after shooting a 251 (86, 83, 82).
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- Colorado Christian University led the 20-team field all three days to win the team title. The Cougars posted an 870 over the three rounds, besting No. 2 Lee University by four strokes.
- Lee's Beck Burnette took home the individual honors, leading all 100 golfers with a stellar 12-under par 204 (72, 63, 69).
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- The 20-team tournament featured eight Top-25 Division II teams, and six teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
- As a team, the Mountain Lions registered 117 pars and 34 birdies.
- Haake was one of 18 golfers to record an eagle in the tournament.
- Chesler and Perry led the team in Par 3 scoring (3.25, +1), while Haake and Perry led the squad with a 4.23 (+1) in Par 4 scoring. Perry posted a team best 4.91 (-1) in Par 5 scoring.

- UCCS will compete next on March 31-April 1 at the Colorado School of Mines Hot Dirt Desert Classic, held in Goodyear, Ariz. at the Golf Club of Estrella.
