University of Colorado Colorado Springs Jadyn LeDoux and Rio Newcombe have been named the 2021-22 UCCS Female and Male Newcomers of the Year.  The award is given to the top male and female newcomer student-athletes who have made a significant impact for their program.

Rio Newcombe, Men's Golf (Freshman, Gilbert, Ariz./Casteel High School)

• RMAC Championship Individual Medalist
  • Career best 206 (69, 69, 68, -10 par)
• All-RMAC Second Team
• Led the team in stroke average with a 73.6 (26 rounds, 1,914 strokes)
• Finished tied-42^nd at NCAA South Central/West Region Tournament
  • 215 (75, 69, 71)
• Shot under-par in eight rounds
