Hot Takes
  • Abby Stassi set a new program record for single season goals with 17 during her sophomore season this fall. Paired with her three assists, Stassi's 37 points were the second most by any player in a single season in program history, trailing just Shanade Hopcroft in 2019. Stassi's five game winning goals ties the program best.
  • Nylah Mirshafiei put a stamp on the Mountain Lion record book as she now ranks first in program history for minutes played as she finished the season having tended the net for 2,120 minutes. Mirshafiei had the second most saves by a junior in UCCS women's soccer history with 62, as her 10 clean sheets are third most in program history by any keeper. The ten clean sheets puts her behind Alexis Walker's 11 in 2022 for most in a single season. Her 10 shutouts this year put her third overall in program history in that category, become just the second keeper to have ten or more clean sheets in a single season.
  • Taylynn Levi cracked the top ten for both career games started (T9th, 61) and career minutes played (7th, 5,218) after starting all 23 games for the Mountain Lions this season, and hardly leaving the pitch during that time.
  • Five Mountain Lions tied the program record for most starts in a season with 23 as Levi, Casey Tadlock, Malia Groshong, Mattea Morris and Nylah Mirshafiei all logged perfect attendance in the starting eleven. All five also now sit in the top ten in single season minutes played, with Mirshafiei on top at 2,120, Groshong just behind with second most at 2,058, followed by Levi (3rd, 2,039), Morris (6th, 1,968), and Tadlock (8th, 1,951).

National Rankings
  • UCCS began the 2025 season unranked in the preseason United Soccer Coaches Division II Women's Soccer National Poll. However, the Mountain Lions would rank within the top 25 teams in the nation throughout the next 10 weeks, finishing in the No. 14 spot just prior to post-season play.
