FROM THE TEE
- UCCS' impressive five-under par team score was fueled by career days from the underclassmen Rio Newcombe (T27) and Brady Haake (T27) who shot four-under par (68) and three-under par (69), respectively. Newcombe's round three had minimal mistakes as the freshman saw his only blemish with a bogey on his second hole of the day, but went on to register five birdies including back-to-back birdies on the par-3 16th and par-5 17th. Haake on the other hand upped his birdie count to six in his strong third round as he strung together a 14-hole stretch where he shot five-under including a birdie on two of his last three holes to end his day.
- Carding two even-par rounds on Monday and continuing that trend into Tuesday was Barrett Jones (T25) as the redshirt junior shot two-under on the course's front-nine to finish as the lowest scoring Mountain Lion. Jones made birdie on the par-4 eighth to begin his day and shot one-under par on his last eight holes which consisted of seven pars and a birdie on the par-5 sixth.
- Both Travis Bossio and Brandon Bervig tied for 65th (226) and combined for six birdies and 20 pars on the day as they each made birdie on the par-5 15th.
