th place at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout.

FROM THE TEE
- Redshirt junior Barrett Jones (T24) was in a groove through the first two rounds of play as he shot even-par (72) in both rounds that included six birdies and one eagle. Jones birdied the par-4 13th in round one as he proceeded to par the next 10 holes to round out his first even-par round of the day. In round two, Jones shot an impressive three-under par on the course's back-nine as he made eagle on the par-5 15th and made birdie on the following par-3 16th to lead the way for the Mountain Lions.
- Coming out of Monday at four-over par (148) was Brady Haake (T45) who tallied a par on 25 of 36 holes with an added four birdies on the day as he shot one-over (73) followed by a 75 (+3). Right behind Haake at a 149 (+5) is freshman Rio Newcombe (T52) who drained six birdies and shot even-par on the front-nine in each of his two rounds.
- UCCS' fourth-best score through two rounds was Travis Bossio (T60) who matched Jones' even-par (72) in round two with the redshirt junior finishing at 150 (+6) that included a birdie on the par-5 sixth in both rounds as he totaled four on birdies on the day.
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- California State University Monterey Bay holds a seven-stroke lead heading into Tuesday after notching a 14-under par 562.
- Ananjan Kaushik of host school California State University East Bay leads all individuals at eight-under par 136 (-8).
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- As a team, the Mountain Lions were five-over par on par-4's which ranks as the sixth lowest score in the 17-team field.
- Barrett Jones is two-under on par-3's in two rounds of play tying for the second lowest par-3 score for the tournament. Jones is also one of 17 players to record an eagle.
- Brandon Bervig currently paces the Mountain Lions with eight birdies. All five Mountain Lions have registered four or more birdies.
