Haake Goes Under-par as Mountain Lions Sit Tied for 11th in Day One of Shark Shootout

WAHIAWA, Hawaii – Junior Brady Haake fires off a two-under par 70 in round one of the Southwest Hawaii Pacific University Shark Shootout as UCCS Men's Golf sits tied for 11th with a 295 (+7) in the 36-hole tournament.

FROM THE TEE
  • Pacing the Mountain Lions through day one is junior Brady Haake who blazed ahead with a two-under par 70 to tie for eighth place. Haake posted a one-under par on both the front and back-nine as he made five birdies in 18 holes, including a birdie on the par-4 18th to end his day.
  • Coming away with a two-over par 74 was James Perry (T40) who settled in to shoot an even-par on the back-nine after registering seven pars and one birdie.
  • Travis Bossio (T50) collects 11 pars and tallies a birdie on both the front and back-nine to turn in a three-over par 75.
  • Brandon Bervig (T56) represented the Mountain Lions' fourth countable score on Tuesday as the redshirt junior turned in nine pars and two birdies for a 76, including seven pars and a birdie on the course's back-nine.
  • Barrett Jones (T65) closes out round one with a five-over 77 after claiming 11 pars as he ended the round with five consecutive pars.
 
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
  • Chico State University's Tyler Ashman currently sits in the lead with a five-under par (67).
  • Chico State also leads the 16-team tournament at nine-under par (279).
 
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
 
  • Brady Haake's five birdies ties for the fourth most in the tournament as his
  • As a team, UCCS shot eight-over par on par-3's to tie for the 10th best score.
  • With a combined 55 pars, the Mountain Lions are tied for the sixth most pars.
