COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2022 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Men's Soccer Tournament bracket was announced on Sunday afternoon with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team (10-4-4, 5-3-2 RMAC) being named the No. 4 seed after recording 17 points during their conference season.
Having earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament, UCCS will host the No. 5 seeded Regis University Rangers (8-8-2, 5-3-2 RMAC) on Thursday, Oct. 27, with kickoff at 5 p.m. from Mountain Lion Stadium. The winner of the quarterfinal matchup between the Mountain Lions and the Rangers will move on to face the No. 1 seeded Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on the road at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30.
The RMAC Quarterfinal matchup on the other side of the bracket will see No. 3 seed Westminster College battle No. 6 seed Colorado Christian University, with the winner advancing to play No. 2 seed Colorado State University Pueblo on Sunday.
The UCCS men's soccer team matched up with Regis On Sept. 29 during the regular season and came away with a 3-1 victory. The Rangers got on the board first in the regular season contest with a goal in the 28th minute, but the Mountain Lions would respond with three second half goals to secure the three conference points. For UCCS, Thursday's match will mark the men's soccer program's first appearance in the RMAC Tournament since the 2018 season and their first time hosting a playoff game since the 2016 season.
