ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After rounds one and two at the RJGA South Central Shootout, University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf cards a 17-over par 593 to sit in the top-10 at eighth place in Albuquerque, N.M.

FROM THE TEE
- Out in front for the Mountain Lions is redshirt junior Barrett Jones and sophomore Brady Haake with a pair of three-over pars 147 through two rounds to be tied for 28th. Haake shoots a team low two-under par 70 on Monday by holding to just one bogey in the opening round. Jones bounced back in round two to shoot even-par 72 after eagling par-5 hole No. 1.
- Ignacio de La Vega gave UCCS their second eagle on the day as he shot one stroke better in round two with a 74 and finishing day one with a five-over par 149 to place 36th.
- Redshirt sophomore Brandon Bervig recorded six birdies on the day and shot three-under par on par-5s and even-par on par 3s as he wrapped up day one tied for 37th with a 150.
- Competing as an individual is Lucas Howell who is tied for 13th after registering a new career low round of a two-under par 70 in round one. Howell drained eight birdies on the day to tie for the fifth most as he shot even-par on par 3s to help finish with a 144.
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- Colorado State University Pueblo currently leads the field of 16 teams with a seven-under par 569.
- Matt Millar of CSU Pueblo and Adam Duncan of Colorado Christian University are tied for first place through two rounds with a five-under par 139.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- UCCS carded the best par-5 team average on Monday by shooting 16-under par with an average score of 4.60 after tying for a tournament high two eagles.
- UCCS shot the fourth lowest round one score of 292.
UP NEXT
- The third and final round of the RJGA South Central Shootout will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
