Tanner Comes (Spokane, Wash.) leads four University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf student-athletes on the 2020-21 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team. Comes was voted to the first team while teammates
Brandon Bervig (Colorado Springs, Colo.),
Barrett Jones (Eagle, Colo.) and
Isaac Spillum (Scottsdale, Ariz.) were named to the Honor Roll.
Collin Bordeaux of Regis was voted the 2021 RMAC Men's Academic Golfer of the Year. The All-Academic First Team members were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. All student-athletes who meet those requirements, but were not voted First Team, automatically qualify for Honor Roll.

Tanner Comes has a 3.375 GPA in Communications. Comes competed in three tournaments this past year. He started the season with his best performance of the three tournaments, scoring a one-under par 215 at the RJGA LSC-RMAC Shootout on Sept. 21-22, 2020, finishing in a tie for 12
th overall. He averaged 74.5 strokes through eight rounds of competition, posting a season low 71 in his first action of the season.
Sophomore
Brandon Bervig is making his first appearance on the RMAC All-Academic Team. A Business major with a 3.758 GPA, Bervig played in the final three matches of the season for the Mountain Lions. His lowest tournament score of the season came at the CSUP Southern Colorado Masters on April 12-13 when he shot a 217. Bervig wrapped up his sophomore campaign with a 28
th place finish at the RMAC Championship Tournament (230).
Barrett Jones (3.462 GPA) saw action in four tournaments this season and averaged 74.8 strokes per round. He recorded the two lowest rounds for the Mountain Lions this season, shooting a 68 and 69 at the CSU Pueblo Southern Colorado Masters April 12-13. In the final tournament of the season, Jones finished tied for 29
th place after shooting a 232 at the RMAC championship tournament.
Isaac Spillum is earning his third straight accolade on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll. A Mechanical Engineering major with a 3.605 GPA, Spillum averaged 74.88 strokes per round after competing in six tournaments for the Mountain Lions this year. He posted a season low 213 on April 12-13 at the CSUP Southern Colorado Masters, and finished the year with a 36
th place finish at the conference championship tournament (237). Spillum recorded a season low round of 70 three times this season, two of which were recorded at the Southern Colorado Masters.
UCCS ended the 2020-21 season with a seventh-place finish at the RMAC championship tournament.
