Mountain Lions Move to Sixth Place Entering Final Round

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team moved to sixth place Monday afternoon after the second round of the 2021 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament.  The Mountain Lions added nine strokes onto today's round and own a team score of 603 (297, 306) but are only four strokes away from second place (599).

FROM THE TEE
Brady Haake continues to lead the Mountain Lions and is in fifth place after two days, notching a tournament total of 146 (72, 74).  Haake posted three straight birdies today on holes No. 13, 14 and 15 and finished with a 36 on the back nine.
 
Behind Haake in 15th place (tie) is Travis Bossio with a 151.  Bossio carded a 78 today, highlighted by two birdies on the front nine and five straight pars.
 
Tied for 25th place are Isaac Spillum and Barrett Jones with a 155.  Spillum shaved off one stroke today to post a 77.  He carded a 37 on the first nine holes with birdies on holes No. 4 and No. 9.  Jones, who shot a 74 in the opening round, shot an 81 on Monday moving him down to 25th place.
 
Brandon Bervig is two strokes behind Spillum and Jones with a 157 and is in a tie for 37th place overall.
 
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
Colorado State University Pueblo holds their nine-team lead with a 581 (287, 294) and has an 18-stroke difference over second place Colorado Christian University and Fort Lewis College (599).  The Pack's Andrew Ni is the individual leader with a three-under par 141 (70, 71).

The final round of the three-day tournament will begin on Tuesday at 7:25 a.m.
