DUPONT, Wash. – After one day and 36 holes of competition, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team is currently in sixth place at the Saint Martin's Invitational, held at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. UCCS opened the tournament shooting a 294 followed by a 302 in round two for a two-day total of 596.

Travis Bossio and
Ignacio de La Vega are pacing the Mountain Lions and are tied for 19
th place overall with a 149 after 36 holes. Bossio registered 20 pars on Monday and six birdies, four of which came in the first round. De La Vega recorded a 74 in round one followed by a 75 to end the day. He drained two birdies in his first four holes to start the day. He tallied four of his seven birdies in the second round.
Isaac Spillum and
Tanner Comes round out the Mountain Lions scorers with matching scores of 151, placing them in a tie for 30
th overall. Spillum shot two birdies in each round and posted scores of 77 and 74, respectively. Comes flipped the scorecard and opened the tournament with a 74 and finished with a 77 on Monday. He carded 23 pars, 14 of which came in round one.
Just outside of the scoring for UCCS is
Brady Haake. Haake shot a 74 in round one and registered an eagle in the first round on par 4, hole No. 11. Haake is tied for 37
th overall with a 152 (74, 78).
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
Colorado State University Pueblo leads the 11-team tournament. The ThunderWolves are currently three-under par with a 573 (280, 293). All four scorers for the Pack are currently in the top 10, with teammates Andrew NI and Jamie Roberts leading the field of 70 golfers with a two-under par 142.
