th place after leading the field in Par 5 scoring with a 10-under par at the Pueblo Country Club.

FROM THE TEE
- Ending the first round with season low scores was Brandon Bervig and Ignacio de La Vega who shot even-par 71 with five birdies each. Both Bervig and de La Vega settled down to shoot under-par on the back-nine to be tied for 28th on the day as Bervig drained four birdies for a one-under par and de la Vega shooting three-under par with three birdies.
- Freshman Rio Newcombe finished two-over par 73 on Monday after posting four birdies, including a three-hole stretch where he birdied holes No. 5-7 to help UCCS tie for the sixth most birdies on the day (18).
- Sophomore Brady Haake and redshirt junior Barrett Jones post a pair of 75's to head into Tuesday's final rounds as Haake shot one under-par on Par 5's with Jones notching even-par.
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- Oklahoma Christian University leads the 19-team tournament with a 10-under 274.
- Zach Burch of Texas A&M University-Commerce is the individual leader after shooting a five-under 66.
