SEASIDE, Calif. – Through two rounds of play, University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf finishes with a 602 to be placed in sixth at the Otter Invitational as the Mountain Lions sit within striking range in Seaside, Calif.

FROM THE TEE
- After shooting a six-over par 150, Brady Haake leads the Mountain Lions with a 76 in round one and improved two-over par 74 in round two. The sophomore made three birdies in the front nine of round two and closed out the today with six consecutive pars to sit tied for 15th.
- Placing tied for 18th through 36-holes is Barrett Jones and Ignacio de La Vega who registered a pair of seven-over par 151's. Jones bounced back after a rocky start to shoot his season low two-under par 70 that consisted of six birdies and 10 pars in the round as he birdied three out of his first four holes. De La Vega came out to shoot one stroke better in round two with a three over-par 75 as he closed out his round with a two-under par on the back nine and finished the day with a team high seven birdies.
- At eight-under par (152), Brandon Bervig is tied for 23rd after notching 22 pars and four birdies.
- Freshman Trevor Grenier finishes Monday at a ten-over par 154 by tallying 24 pars in two rounds.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- Teams will tee off at 8 a.m. tomorrow. There will be a brief pause for the two groups from CSU San Bernardino, Sonoma State, Dominican, and CSU Dominguez Hills that didn't finish holes No. 9 and 10 today to complete their rounds, followed by a 10-minute break to reset the last two holes and then play will resume in the same pairing that played today.
- As a team, UCCS leads Par 3 scoring with a six-over par and 3.15 average. The Mountain Lions also have posted the fourth-best Par 5 scoring by going one-under with a 4.98 average.
- With 108 pars on the day, UCCS leads the field with most pars made.
- Indvidually, Ignacio de La Vega has the second lowest par 3 score at a two-under par and 2.75 average. Barrett Jones sits in top-5 for par scoring with a two-under par and 4.75 average
