IRVING, Texas –
Jack Duguid recorded a three-round score of 221 (+5) to finish in a tie for sixth place and lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Dallas Baptist University Patriot Classic, held in Irving, Texas at Hackberry Creek Country Club.
The Mountains Lions shot a 306 in the final round to finish with a three-round total of 908. Texas A&M-Commerce won the team title (885) behind Lucas McCubbin's tournament best 215 (-1).
Duguid nailed four birdies on holes No. 2, 3, 5 and 18 in today's round to post a 72 (76, 73, 72). He led the tournament field in Par 4 scoring with a 4.08 average.
Clay McCrory also added four birdies today to post a 77 and finish in a tie for 14
th place (225).
Ignacio de La Vega added seven strokes to yesterday's dual rounds of 74, placing him in a tie for 25
th overall after notching a 229 (74, 74, 81).
Tanner Comes' 238 (77, 81, 80) tied him for 61
st place overall.
The Mountain Lions will wrap up the regular season April 8-9 at the Western New Mexico University Intercollegiate, held in Goodyear, Ariz. at Palm Valley Golf Club.
