AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team closed the Golf Glove St. Edward's University Invitational in 11
th place overall on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions, who were tied for 11
th place after Monday's first two rounds, carded a 295 today to post a three-round score of 881 at Onion Creek Club in Austin, Texas.
Oklahoma Christian University and Midwestern State University tied for the team title as both teams notched an 849. OCU's Andres Brictson won the individual title with a 205.
Clay McCrory paced the Mountain Lions with a 33
rd place finish. McCrory tallied a 74 in today's round to finish with a 218.
Jack Duguid was two strokes behind McCrory and tied for 38
th place.
Ignacio de La Vega led UCCS with 10 birdies. de La Vega finished the tournament with a 223 and tied for 47
th place.
Peter Johns, who made a team best 35 pars, rounded out the Mountain Lions scorers with a 226.
UCCS will compete in their fourth tournament of the spring season on April 1-2 at the Dallas Baptist Invite.
