CHARLOTTE, N.C. – May 25, 2018 – The NCAA Division II leader in the women's outdoor track and field 800m run,
Skylyn Webb qualified for Saturday's finals after tying her personal record of 2:05.24. Webb was the top runner in Friday's prelims, besting all 20 competitors at the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship meet, hosted by Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C.
Webb will compete in the finals on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. (MDT).
Kaija Crowe completed the final three events of the heptathlon Friday morning, highlighted by a personal record in the Javelin (31.83m). She recorded a distance of 5.68m in the long jump, and completed the 800m run in 2:22.50. Crowe placed 11
th overall with 4,843 points.
Caleb Simons ran to a 23
rd place finish in the 200m prelims, posting a time of 21.77.
Along with Webb, the men's 4x100m Relay team of Simons,
John Douglas,
LaChristopher Smith and
Deshon Elcock will run in the finals at 1:25 p.m. (MDT).
Molly Klotz will run the finals of the 1500m run at 1:55 p.m. MT), and freshman
Sierra Suazo will go to action in the Discus at 2 p.m.
