KEARNEY, Neb. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field teams competed in a pair of last chance meets over the weekend at Nebraska-Kearney and Colorado School of Mines.
At UNK,
Hannah Meek and
Kaija Crowe finished the long jump first and second as Meek jumped 6.00m on her last attempt as Crowe recorded 5.74m on her fifth jump.
In the triple jump,
Will Ross took second with a mark of 14.64m on his second jump.
On the track,
Kayla Zink and
Nicole Morpurgo also went one and two in 100m with times of 11.95 and 12.22 seconds respectively.
At Mines, Skylnn Webb recorded another automatic qualifying time in the 800m with a winning time of 2:05.59.
Kayla Wooten placed second in the 1,500m with a provisional time of 4:36.50.
The Mountain Lions will now prepare for the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held May 24-26 at Johnson C. Smith University's Irwin Belk Compex in Charlotte, N.C.
