PUEBLO, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track & field teams compete at CSU-Pueblo's Spank Blasing Invite on Saturday.
On the women's side,
Molly Klotz won the 400m hurdles with an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 1:01. 93, edging out Western State's Tianna Terrel by three hundredths of a second.
In the throws,
Sierra Suazo placed second in the shot put with a distance of 12.44m.
For the men's team,
Caleb Simons won the 400m with a time of 48.28 seconds as he beat out Western State's Casey Lewis who crossed the finish line with a time of 48.32 seconds.
Also on the track,
Tristan Hinkley and
Ryan Vomacka placed first and second respectively in the 400m hurdles with times of 57.03 and 57.82 seconds.
Cameron Wright won the pole vault after clearing 4.52m.
Both team will be in action next Saturday when they travel south to compete in the West Texas A&M Classic in Canyon, Texas.
