Mountain Lions Card 296 in Opening Round of RMAC Fall Preview

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Three University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions are tied for sixth place after the opening round of the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golf Fall Preview, hosted by Regis University at The Walnut Creek Preserve in Westminster, Colo.  The Mountain Lions are in second place with a 296.
 
Round two of the tournament has been suspended due to weather and darkness.
 
Colorado State-Pueblo leads the 10-team tournament with a four-stroke lead over the Mountain Lions.  The ThunderWolves Nathan McCann is the individual leader after shooting a two-under par 70.
 
Tanner Comes, Jack Duguid and Ignacio de La Vega each opened the tournament with a 73.  de La Vega leads the field in par 4 scoring (-3 par).  He recorded birdies on four holes, three of which were par 4 holes.
 
Clay McCrory, last week's RMAC Men's Golfer of the Week, is tied for 20th place (77), followed by Ji Jang's 83 (tied-53rd place).
 
Round two will conclude Tuesday morning. The tournament may be shortened to two rounds; round three may not be played due to weather.
