TORRENCE, Calif. – A trio of runners from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track & field team took part in the prestigious Mt. SAC relays on Friday, posting solid results.
UCCS was represented in the 800m as
Chelsea Martus and
Molly Klotz each posted fast times in their heats. Klotz finished with a time of 2:14.21 as Martus finished just shy of an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark with a time of 2:13.63. The provisional qualifying time is 2:13.33.
Kayla Wooten ran the 1,500m as she finished with a time of 4:37.05, which is just slightly more than two seconds off the provisional time of 4:35.00.
The Mountain Lions are back in action Saturday, April 22 at Colorado Mines' Nature's Bakery Invitational.
