BOULDER, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track & field team recorded solid results on Saturday at the CU Open with hurdler
Danielle Cormier leading the way with qualifying time in the 60m hurdlers.
The freshman ran her way to an altitude adjusted time of 8.82 seconds in the prelims, which is an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Cormier then placed seventh in the finals, which included five Division I hurdlers.
In the unseeded mile,
Kayla Wooten ran her way to a fifth place finish with an altitude adjusted time of 5:02.58, just shy of the provisional qualifying time of 5:01.11. Wooten was the top Division II finisher in the event.
In the sprints,
Molly Klotz took ninth overall with a time of 58.42, taking third place in the second heat.
UCCS is back in action next weekend when they will compete in New Mexico's Don Kirby Invitational and Adam State's NCAA Qualifier.
