SPEARFISH, S.D. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs sophomore
Nick Lemley qualified for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles as the lone Mountain Lion in action on the second day of the 2016 RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Lyle Hare Stadium. He crossed the finish line in 57.70 seconds and was eighth in today's preliminaries.
Lemley was fourth in his heat and claimed the final spot in tomorrow's championship race. He will race in the first conference championship of his career after a No. 11 finish in the preliminaries last season. Lemley will race at 1:40 p.m.
UCCS will start competition on the final day of the championships at 12:25 p.m., with
David Kimaiyo and
Kyle McCloskey in the 1,500-meter run. Five Mountain Lions are scheduled to run in the 5,000-meter run at 2:40 p.m., and UCCS will finish the championships with the 4x400-meter relay at 3:45 p.m.
