Mountain Lions Garner 45 Indoor Track & Field All-RMAC Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the major award winners and all-conference recipients for the 2025-26 indoor track & field season on Thursday with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's teams combining to garner a total of 45 All-RMAC honors.  
 
For the second straight year, Chadron State College's Chayton Bynes was named the RMAC Men's Field Athlete of the Year, while Colorado School of Mines' Dawson Gunn and Colorado State University Pueblo's Caleb McLeod secured the RMAC Men's Track Athlete of the Year and RMAC Men's Freshman of the Year honors, respectively. Colorado School of Mines' head coach Matt Sparks was named the RMAC Men's Coach of the Year for the second consecutive indoor season after leading the Orediggers to a second-place finish at the RMAC Indoor Championships and a ninth-place finish at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships.
 
On the women's side, Patreece Clarke of New Mexico Highlands University was selected as the RMAC Women's Track Athlete of the Year while her teammate, Rojrika Campbell, was voted as the RMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Year. Colorado School of Mines' Violet Williams was named the RMAC Women's Freshman of the Year and CSU Pueblo's Matt Morris earned RMAC Women's Coach of the Year accolades after guiding the ThunderWolves' women's team to a T-6th finish at the indoor conference meet and a fourth-place finish on the national stage.
 
All major awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches. First Team All-RMAC consists of the top three individual finishers from each event and the first-place relay teams at the RMAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Second Team All-RMAC consists of the fourth, fifth and sixth place individual finishers, along with the second-place relay teams.
 
The Mountain Lion men's and women's teams combined to record 45 All-RMAC accolades at the 2025-26 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, including 20 on the men's side and 25 on the women's side.
