GREENWOOD, Ind. – Coming off a strong senior season on the track and in the classroom,
Dillon Arvayo of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's track & field program has been selected to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America® Third Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
The 2025-26 Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom with a minimum grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Arvayo secured his spot on the CSC Academic All-America Third Team after combining a breakout senior season on the track with his exceptional efforts in the classroom as a business major. A first-time CSC Academic All-District selection and an RMAC All-Academic First Team selection for both the indoor and outdoor seasons, Arvayo put his best performance of the indoor season on display at the conference championship meet as he won the heptathlon with a season and personal best converted score of 5,209 points, earning First Team All-RMAC and USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in the event. His heptathlon mark also placed him ninth on the NCAA Division II performance list for the event and earned him a qualifying position at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, where he finished 13
th overall with a score of 5,016 points and collected USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors. During the outdoor season, Arvayo finished seventh overall in the decathlon at the conference championship meet before putting together a season and personal best NCAA provisional qualifying performance of 6,538 points in the event in his final collegiate competition at Azusa Pacific University's Franson Last Chance meet. Arvayo finishes his collegiate career as one of the top combined athletes in program history as he was just the third male student-athlete in program history to earn indoor All-America honors while ranking third all-time in the heptathlon and tied for fourth all-time in the decathlon.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
