Chantelle Fondren improved her NCAA provisional qualifying time in the mile run in her third mile victory of the season at the Division II Invitational today at Colorado School of Mines. She ran 5 minutes, 9.92 seconds, for a time that will adjust down to 4:57.72 for altitude and track size.
Fondren is third in the RMAC and No. 15 in Division II. She won today's race by nearly nine seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Melanie Diep finished fourth with 5:24.70, and her adjusted time of 5:11.92 is good for ninth in the conference performance lists.
Natalie Polei rounded out the top 10 finishers for UCCS in the mile with 5:49.54.
