GUNNISON, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team scored its first points of the 2015 RMAC Indoor Championships with a seventh-place finish in the distance medley relay tonight at the Mountaineer Fieldhouse.

Hayley Gillen ran an unadjusted time of 13 minutes, 11.82 seconds in the first DMR for the Mountain Lions this season.
UCCS scored two points in the relay performance and finished six seconds behind sixth-place Colorado Mesa. The Mountain Lions are No. 10 among the 12 teams that scored points in the first day of the championships.
Molly Klotz finished two-hundredths of a second out of the finals with 59.08 seconds for the 400-meter dash in a ninth-place finish in the preliminaries. Teammate
Jessica Todd was No. 10 in the prelims with 59.71 seconds.
Hayley Gantt led the short sprinters in both the 200-meter and 60-meter dashes with performances of No. 12 and No. 13, respectively. Â The top eight in the preliminaries advance to Saturday's finals.
UCCS will continue competition on the final day of the conference championships on Saturday. The first event to feature a Mountain Lion will begin at 12:15 p.m., in the mile.
