GOLDEN, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's 4x400-meter relay team finished third with an adjusted time of 4:02.79 as the Mountain Lions completed action in the Division II Invitational today at Colorado Schools of Mines. UCCS finished sixth among the seven teams in the scored meet.

Chelsea Martus and
Molly Klotz put together the seventh-fastest time in the RMAC this season in the fast heat of today's meet. Todd ran her first 800-meter run since 2012 earlier in the day and clocked an adjusted time of 2:23.11 to win her heat and place fourth overall. Martus led the rest of the team in the 400-meter dash with her sixth-place finish in an adjusted 59.98 seconds.
Natalie Polei improved her mile time by more than nine seconds from last weekend with the adjusted time of 5:24.46 and finished third.
Sam Bauer crossed the finish line just more than two seconds behind Polei to place fourth.
Hayley Gantt scored team points for UCCS in the 200-meter dash with 26.90 seconds to win her heat and place eighth overall. Gantt is No. 16 in the conference performance lists when the time is adjusted to 26.30 seconds.Â
The Mountain Lions will travel to Gunnison, Colo., next weekend for the Western State Alumni Open Feb. 6-7. The meet will be a preview of the facility that will host the RMAC Indoor Championships in four weeks.
